I recently joined Twitter and have been in Facebook for a bit of time. One thing that I have noticed in the times when people get 'offended' by seeing the word Tranny in any posts. Even when the person is talking about themselves. One interesting point is whether it per-dates it's use for a transistor or a radio built using transistors.
