Is it just me or do most of us girls feel/gain more confident in ourselves when wearing our female underwear under our male clothes?
I don't get the time to dress very often these days due to a change in personal circumstances but had the chance today to wear a lovely matching green t-shirt bra and light control panties under my male clothes to go to town shopping and as well as supporting my tummy and breasts in very comfortable position it just seemed to give me such a lot more confidence !!
Any of you girls feel this way?

I'm sure a lot of us feel the same Katherine. I'm now fortunate enough to dress and go out most days but when I have to wear drab I'm always dressed 'properly' underneath. I haven't worn male underwear at all for about 20 years and only have a couple of vests and underpants, just for emergencies! My wife was always jealous I had more and prettier lingerie than she did! When I am in drab I always have self-adhesive breat enhancers on as well; if not too large they can be taken for well-developed pecs - but I know different! x x

I always feel better when i am wearing bra & knicks, i do not even own a pair of male undies, so i use sloggi sports style knicks, and always with a sports style bra, no knowing clips that can show, and maybe some people might think i am wearing a bra, so what, at my age we are expected to have moobs!!!!!!!!

Occasionally wear under my male attire --- feels OK bu t not as enthusiastic as I am for being totally en femme. Wore most of Saturday on a trip to London. Must wear a more robust suspender belt next time -- there was a constant battle between suspenders trying to pull North and the stockings going South!

I can hardly go a day without at least some panties on underneatg. Quite often, however, I amm fully dressed underneath with panties, stockings and belt , bra and a slip or chemise or something.

Nope. Never, ever. It's either 100% all the way - hair, makeup, full outfit - or nothing, for me.

I'm with you luv, can see the point.
Would you go out to wash your car and than just do a door?
Would you make a nice bolognese and leave the spaghetti hard and uncooked?

Do I need to give you more metaphores?

To me it's about the change and transformation, to be different.
If I'd done my makeup and put a wig on, and THEN put my boy clothes on, then it might make for an interesting picture. :)

Still be a bit odd though.
No point wearing nice undies to go and mow the lawn or fix the car, you get all sweaty and dirty - you might get oil or dirt on your nice undies. I know I at least, would not want that to happen

I sometimes go out with a bra (panties are 24/7, yes to the Dr.)under a male T shirt and pants. Sometimes in a femme T type top and girl jeans, but no makeup and ear rings maybe, still appearing male. But I also go out full femme on Public Transport. At my age no one notices.

Given a free rein I would dress 24/7.

That being so I really resent it when I have to drab up (perhaps 3 times a week) as I cannot help feeling far more female than male; I find it impossible to be a man one day and a woman the next. Therefore, I always wear as many female clothes as possible, even when in supposed male mode; always female underwear and, like Rita, sometimes with ladies' outerwear that can just about pass for menswear, even if slightly effeminate. I don't get kicks or excitement from this, and I quickly forget about what I'm wearing. It just feels 'right'.

However, it's nice we're all different - who the hell would want to be like me! x x

I guess I am different to most of you. About 6 days a week on average I am Pauline - without full make up but with arched eyebrows filled in with pencil, eye make up and lippy - and almost always a wig. That's at home, and of course dressed from head to toe as a woman.

When I go out then I always use a touch more make up - going out is mostly humdrum stuff like the market, Asda or shopping for whatever.

Sometimes though I do have to be a guy - business meetings, being with my son or my extended family. It's not a big deal to dress as a guy, and it's a good excuse not to have to shave.

Steph Holmes - who has fully transitioned - said it must be harder to be 2 people than knowing that you want to transition. I said that for me it wasn't hard - I am one person inside, and that my outer clothes are merely representations of gender.

Not sure if that resonates...but that's me

      hugs

Pauline has the knack of saying more sense in a short post than all the "experts" in the world. For me, wearing exclusively female underwear 24/7 connects me with my female persona.
I now dress fully most days, most of the time. I feel more feminine than I ever have.

Pauline, your right I have been struggling to unify my 2 identities this year. Another young girl started going full time at my AA meetings and I met her at a trans group and now I am pretty well out everywhere. I do take public transit to group meetings (we lost 2 a month recently but some social events seem to be picking up) and I am dressed and in makeup. So I guess I am pretty well out. But something in me is still uncomfortable being rita 24/7. I tried using the name Ricki to put my male and female names together and registered for a conference using it. But I have established rita as me and that's who people see when they see me. So for now when some of the other Ritas I know are in the room with Richard I have to remember not to respond. Any how all I have is time and I'm out more than I ever thought possible and its good.

      Rita,

It sounds like you are happy being you - isn't that what is the most important thing in our lives? As we age its interesting that the differences between the genders actually blur...or is that just my bad eyesight?

      hugs

Yes Pauline, I am happy with my journey over all. But it is a journey of discovery, to find out who I am. When it makes me unhappy I'll stop. But sometimes I wonder what I am doing and it frightens me a little, just a little good fear.

I'm only managing to be Marilyn once a month or so and it's been like this for some time for a number of reasons.

I do love wearing knickers, suspenders and stockings under my trousers to work, makes me feel alive. I like the naughtiness of it too, and have done since I was a school kid - when the lingerie was "borrowed"! Wouldn't dare wear a bra to work though, it would definitely show through the thin cotton shirts I wear, and besides which a bra without my lovely D cup boobies just wouldn't be right!

I also only infrequently am able to be myself and dress as Joanne. As often as I can though I do wear panties and usually a tshirt bra, or an unpadded one under manwear. I usually am able to wear sweaters and gilets so as to obscure the bra. It's more difficult in summer! I do wear women's jeans.

drabs vile - mens underwears vile - i never wear a stitch of male clothing, however i rarely wear a wig or makeup if i'm not working, all the clothes i wear are very 50/50 so with padded knickers which i always wear to make my butt look bigger, tits and androynous clothing i confuse the hell out of people which is so much fun :)

I enjoy watching the male clothes shrink out of my wardrobe. But I have a mix of androgynous and femme clothes. I only wear female underwear xx my pink socks get noticed under my drab workwear. I wear a bra given the opportunity... otherwise/often or else my clothes can be androgynous /baggy... you do realise we can sue the british government? they say equality and yet 75% of retail aimed at people with vaginas... some might call that sexism

      Yawn

What's the point in dressing up when the world around is so dead xx
