It seems every year Hollywood is either remaking, re-imagining, or rebooting a film rather then creating new films. So question is are you excited by this, or a bit put off by the lack of origionality?

Maybe it's me, I hate unnecessary change. Batman is one of my biggest pet peeves as he never wore body armor, it called the bat MOBILE not a TUMBLER. And the story is so skewed with inaccuracies and new plots that most the characters are not the same characters they were. Personally I think they are better off doing animated series then movies of comic heroes because they are TRUER to the comics. Movies add alot of drama, and emotional baggage that seems to take away from the story. Remember that's my opinion, but I heard that Captain America was excellent. less

I'd agree that the true comic book followers might be put off by changes to the original story lines, but at the same time the new movies are morphing to accommodate a new generation, don't you think? What worked for us in the 60s-80s might not play to the younger group. less

I just don't agree with the reasoning as for example the X-Men, which if compared to the comics is totally a different story, screwed up characters, and laden with so much Tech, and FX that what is lost is the story.
To me the X-Men went hand and hand with the Civil Rights movement and that has been lost. Instead they played up a then minor character (Wolverine) to the point it was Wolverine and the X-men. Many key characters were written totally wrong for the most part, and some kept out all together. Was it entertaining? Hell yeah, all that and a bag of chips, but for someone who grew up on the X-Men it wasn't them. less
